PhotoGIF™ 3.x is a file format plug-in for Adobe Photoshop 3.0 or better that allows creation and editing of highly optimized GIFs and GIF animations for the Web.
PhotoGIF™ 3.x is the third generation of the original Web graphics production tool, and provides unsurpassed capabilities for producing highly optimized GIFs and GIF animations from Photoshop with minimum possible effort. Using PhotoGIF™ is as easy as saving a file, and PhotoGIF™'s intuitive, fully interactive interface provides constant feedback on file size and image quality so even the most novice of users become instant masters of Web graphics.
PhotoGIF Filter™ is also included with the PhotoGIF™ 3.x package, and is a filter plug-in based implementation of the PhotoGIF™ feature set, which allows additional transparency capability not available in the file format version and provides compatibility with 3rd party host applications.
PhotoGIF Lite™ a freeware version of PhotoGIF™ is also available from the BoxTop Software, Inc. Web site, in addition for those who desire more than the standard PhotoGIF™ demo before they purchase. Complete information on PhotoGIF Lite™ is provided in the downloadable package of it.
To use PhotoGIF™ 3.0.2 you need:

To use PhotoGIF Filter™ 1.5 you need:
1: A PowerPC-based Macintosh
2: System 7.0 or better
3: Adobe Photoshop 3.0 or better or compatible filter host application

To update your existing version of PhotoGIF™:
PhotoGIF™ 3.x (which now includes PhotoGIF Filter™) is an upgrade available to all registered users of any prior version of PhotoGIF™ or PhotoGIF Filter™.
If you are a registered user of any prior version of PhotoGIF Filter™, simply use your existing registration number for PhotoGIF Filter™ to activate both the PhotoGIF™ 3.0.2 and PhotoGIF Filter™ 1.5 plug-ins. This package is a free update to you.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Existing registration numbers for past versions of PhotoGIF™ will not activate PhotoGIF™ 3.0.2 or PhotoGIF Filter™ 1.5. PhotoGIF™ and PhotoGIF Filter™ have in the past been different products with different registration numbers.
If you are a registered user of PhotoGIF™ and originally purchased after October, 1997 this package is a free upgrade to you. You should email support@boxtopsoft.com if you have not already received your new registration number for PhotoGIF™ 3.x.

Before you get started with PhotoGIF™ and PhotoGIF Filter™:
To install PhotoGIF™ and PhotoGIF Filter™, simply drag the plug-ins into your Photoshop plug-ins folder. PhotoGIF™ will be available the next time Photoshop is launched as "BoxTop PhotoGIF" in the file format list in Photoshop's save dialog. PhotoGIF Filter™ will be available in Filters -> BoxTop Web Tools -> PhotoGIF Filter.
